I'm a little late in posting this, but this month saw the release of the re-imagined "Richie Rich" comic book that is being published by Ape Entertainment. The best part about the new series (to me anyway) is that I had a hand in writing it. I wrote a one page segment called "Professor Keenbean's Corner" that is included in the first issue (drawn by the masterful James Silvani).
This is a significant milestone for a couple of reasons. First, it's the first time I've written a comic script that was drawn by someone that I've never spoken to or met (though I hear James is a real stand-up guy as well as a heck of an artist). Secondly, this marks the first time that a freelance comic piece I've written was actually published (and I didn't pay for it!).
Anyway, this actually is the first of four installments of "Professor Keenbean's Corner" that I have written for Ape, and each will be included in the first four issues of "Richie Rich." Richie Rich #1 is available at comic stores everywhere now or you can order it online. Also, check out this great review of it by Chris Barat.
The middle of the first month of 2011 is a perfect time to post all the episodes of "2 the Movies" from the end of 2010. We've got reviews of films that are still playing now like "Tron: Legacy" and some movies that are coming out on DVD now such as "The Social Network." So check them out and drop me a line if you like them.
